Parents Step Ahead (PSA ) is having its final Parent Program of the year this Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Lamar Middle School (Lamar) in Irving ISD. Lamar will be the 5th school to host a Parent Program with Parents Step Ahead in 2014. Parent Programs in 2014 were hosted at; Centerville Elementary (Garland ISD), Urban Park Elementary (Dallas ISD), Apollo Middle School (Richardson ISD) and Timberline Elementary School (Grapevine ISD).

• Registration begins at 5 p.m.
• Free dinner provided by McDonald’s for early arrivals at 5:30 p.m.
• Program starts at 6:00 p.m.

Seminar topics will include: “Love and Logic”, presented by speaker Gloria Garcia of Dallas Community College. Irving ISD’s Parental Involvement Coordinator, Maurice Walker will also be presenting the seminar topic of, “Breaking the Cycle of Mediocrity”. Keynote speaker for the program will be Parents Step Ahead Board Member and empowerment speaker Raul Magdaleno. Parents who attend the entire program from beginning to end will be eligible to enter a raffle and win a new computer prior to the closing remarks.
