As of the January 1st, 2015, Parents Step Ahead (PSA) Board Member Dr. Betty Uribe assumed the position of Chair of the Board of Directors of Parents Step Ahead.
Dr. Uribe oversees and manages the Commercial, Personal and SBA Lending Group for the Greater Southern California Division of California Bank & Trust. Dr. Uribe has been recognized as one of the most prominent Latinas in the country. She is a financial featured columnist for LATINA Style Magazine, and she has been featured as a top financial services expert in print and television media. As an international and bilingual speaker, Dr. Uribe has lectured in Asia, Canada, the Americas, and her work has been published in two continents.

Dr. Betty Uribe is succeeding Lupita Colmenero, who founded Parents Step Ahead in 2006 and acted as chair of the board for nine years. Colmenero was voted by the board of directors as CEO & President for the organization at their annual board meeting held on December 6th, 2014.
