 Frank Gómez heads strategic alliances at ETS, the world’s leading educational research and assessment institution.  It administers  more than 50,000 tests per year, among them the AP, SAT, GRE, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and teacher  licensure tests.

He forges ties with key organizations, including Hispanic organizations. He also manages outreach initiatives for ETS Senior Vice  President Yvette Donado, and supports the work of the ETS Center for Advocacy and Philanthropy. Gómez previously served as  Executive Director of External and Media Relations.

Before joining ETS in 2005, he headed media relations, executive outreach and external affairs for Altria. Among other responsibilities, he directed a $10 million program that included community relations, corporate advertising, adult literacy, and support for government relations.

He had previously worked as a Washington-based international affairs consultant on behalf of clients doing business in France, Indonesia, Japan, Latin America and the Philippines.

As a U.S. Foreign Service Officer (1965-1984), Gómez worked in communications and cultural affairs, capping his career as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Public Affairs, after postings in Haiti, Mali, Costa Rica, Colombia and Washington.  He is the past three-time president of the board of the Pan American Development Foundation.

Gómez has been honored by many organizations, including the National Association of Hispanic Publications, the League of United Latin American Citizens and the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.  He was a founder of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and the National Hispanic Leadership Agenda, a coalition of the nation’s largest Hispanic organizations.
