STEM Starts at Home is a hands-on family STEM initiative made possible through the generous support of The Rota Foundation and in partnership with AVANCE Dallas. This engaging program is designed to help parents better understand the importance of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and how to actively support their children’s success in science and math learning both at school and at home.

Through an interactive workshop led by a STEM educator with experience in the NASA HUNCH Program, parents will participate in a fun, hands-on STEM activity while learning practical ways to encourage curiosity, problem-solving, and confidence in STEM education. Families will also receive a take-home STEM kit to continue the learning experience together at home, reinforcing the idea that STEM learning starts with family engagement.
