  • Family Communication

School programs include presentations by experts on:

  • Computer and digital literacy
  • Importance of STEM
  • Raising kids with love and logic
  • Underage drinking prevention
  • Paving the way to college
  • Internet safety
  • Counseling and crisis intervention
  • Health and financial literacy
  • Continuing Education for Parents
  • College preparation Healthy Family Communications

These are just a few of the many topics addressed.  Each school-based program includes a free meal, childcare, culminating with a raffle of personal computer systems donated by corporations and other supporters.  In December, the year-long program concludes with the Parent of the Year (POY) awards recognizing parents who have earned that distinction through their participation and school nominations.

PSA has reached more than 50,000 people among more than 60 schools in Dallas, Fort Worth, Garland, Irving, Richardson, Birdville, and Northside Independent School District in San Antonio.  Thanks to the support of the private sector and community leaders, PSA is able to fulfill its mission of providing parents with essential tools to remain actively involved in the educational and personal development of their children – our nation’s most precious future resource.  PSA programs include free meals, free community resource fairs, free childcare, raffle of a personal computer system and door prizes.
